Murillo has let the camera into his world for the very first time as Forest TV spends a day in the life of our Brazilian defender. After joining Nottingham Forest from his boyhood club Corinthians in 2023, Murillo has since amassed over 100 appearances in the Garibaldi, becoming a regular name on the matchday teamsheet, as well as handily being in the right place at the right time with crucial goal-line clearances throughout his time on Trentside. Away from the pitch, Murillo has made no secret of his life as a family man; he and his wife, Mabili, hosted their gender reveal at the City Ground, welcoming their daughter Serena in early 2025. As revealed in the video, Murillo’s day begins at home with his family before he departs for training. What becomes apparent very quickly is his English. The Brazilian has been learning since his move to England and he is now able to conduct interviews fluently and even speaks the vast majority of the documentary in the language. After a hard training session and media duties alongside Igor Jesus and Callum Hudson-Odoi, Murillo heads home to see his family. The adorable setting is the base of Murillo’s discussion about his life with his family and the impact Serena has had on him. “It’s motivation, when you are playing and you look to your family and you can see them, it gives me a big energy. “If I’m having a bad day outside of my house, then I come home and it really recharges my battery, being alongside my family. My wife is incredible and she has helped me every single day. “This is my peaceful place.” Completing Murillo’s family is his dog, who is introduced, where her name is revealed along with its importance and links to his and his wife’s family. After a tour of his shirts on display and the various honours he has earned during his time with the Reds, Mabili opens up about their journey to Nottingham. What’s clear is the happiness the couple have in their life and the part Forest has played will stay with them forever. "I feel happy, really genuinely happy. Now I have to keep training and working hard, keep playing well and keep improving.”
