Fernandes equals Ronaldo with sixth EA SPORTS Player of the Month award Bruno Fernandes has won the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for March to equal former Manchester United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo's tally of six. The Man Utd captain wins the prize after an outstanding month where he produced two goals and four assists in just four matches. Fernandes is now only one award away from equalling the EA SPORTS Player of the Month record currently shared by Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero and Mohamed Salah.Fernandes scored and set up a goal in United's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at the start of the month. He followed that with an assist in a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United, two assists in a 3-1 victory against Aston Villa, and a goal from the penalty spot in a 2-2 draw at AFC Bournemouth. Fernandes took his Premier League assist tally for the season to 16 in March, beating a club record previously held by David Beckham, who supplied 15 in 1999/00. The Portuguese is also four assists shy of matching the Premier League’s all-time single-season record of 20 assists, set by Thierry Henry in 2002/03 and matched by Kevin De Bruyne in 2019/20.Fernandes' success sees him win the award for the first time in exactly a year, when he claimed March 2025's prize. His other triumphs all came in 2020, taking the February, June, November and December awards in that year. Fernandes is the second Man Utd player to have won it this season, after Bryan Mbeumo in October 2025.
