For over 150 years, millions of people have followed Aston Villa from near and far, packing into our iconic Villa Park home and sporting the famous claret and blue. This season, we're shining the spotlight on the Villa Faithful and their love for a truly historic club. Throughout the campaign will be memoirs and musings, reports and recollections, all from those with one thing in common: The Obsession for AVFC. Our series continues with 23-year-old Jack Harris... How did you become an Aston Villa fan? I don’t remember a time when I’ve not been a Villa fan. From when I was little, I was always in a Villa shirt. Then I went to my first game and there was no looking back. What's your earliest Villa memory? My first Villa game with my dad was against Middlesbrough. We did lose on the day but the noise and the excitement made me feel a part of the Villa family from that moment on. Who is your favourite Villa player? That would have to be Stiliyan Petrov. The things the man could do on a football pitch were amazing. He was so strong and incredible, and with his health journey he was always there to support the team, even through all his pain. It was truly incredible and has always held a place in my heart. To then continue to this day as an ambassador to the club and still being the Stan I loved to watch growing up. What’s your favourite Villa match? I would have to say the Bayern Munich game last season. I never thought I’d hear the Champions League music at Villa Park but what a day – one I’ll never forget. The atmosphere is one of the best I’ve ever heard and the moment that ball hit the back of the net was a feeling I’ll never forget. To seal the win was incredible. I love Aston Villa because… It’s home. It’s family. As famously said: "You don’t choose Aston Villa, it chooses you."
